BIOGRAPHY

1986年生まれ、東京を拠点に活動。街で普段何気なく目にするモノをユーモラスに擬人化したキャラクターを抽象絵画として描く。 DIEGOのもたらす「脱臼したストリート表現」は、 絵画や壁画というビジュアルアートから、街中のグラフィティ、コンセプチュアルアートまで活動の幅を広げている。近年はコレクティブ SIDE COREの一員として展覧会の企画や作品発表を精力的に行う他、自身が主催する壁画プログラムにおいても世界各国のアーティストたちの壁画制作のディレクションを行っている。

Born in 1986 and based in Tokyo, DIEGO creates abstract paintings that humorously personify everyday objects commonly seen in the city. His “disjointed street expressions” expand the scope of his work from visual arts like painting and murals to graffiti in urban environments and conceptual art. In recent years, he has been an active member of the collective SIDE CORE, involved in curating exhibitions and presenting his own work. Additionally, he directs mural projects for artists from around the world as part of his own mural program.
